Drawing & Image Manipulation Programs
There
are a number of dated drawing and image manipulation programs that I
have grown accustomed to (and fond of) over the
years. Although I always use gimp to do anything serious, I
find
that older programs such as ivtools,
tgif, and xv provide
"quick and dirty"
solutions when I am in a hurry. As a result, I have dedicated
pages here to their installation. gv
(ghostview) is extremely useful when viewing and printing postscript
files, and jpeg2ps and pngout are useful command line
utilities for manipulating images. Their installation is
discussed here as well.
